Dr. Aaron S. Pollock successfully completed his doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2010. A New Jersey Licensed Professional Counselor, Dr. Pollock is skilled in the treatment of depression, mood disorders, anxiety disorders, grief, ADHD, conduct problems, life stress, anger difficulties, self-injury, smoking cessation, substance use, complying with medical treatment, and coping with stress related to medical problems. Dr. Pollock is trained in the practice of Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy: a brief, active, and solution-focused treatment approach that helps individuals improve their quality of life by examining how thoughts, feelings and actions influence each other. Dr. Pollock’s dissertation research helped to understand the impact of over-involvement in activities on adolescents. He assisted Dr. Arthur Freeman in compiling the Encyclopedia of Cognitive Therapy and co-authored a chapter for the Encyclopedia on childhood and adolescent depression with Dr. Elizabeth Gosch. Dr. Pollock has also lectured on a variety of topics including ADHD, smoking cessation, crisis intervention, adolescent activity involvement, and working in behavioral health to schools, health care clinics, primary care practices, and other professionals.
Dr. Pollock’s services are available to adults and adolescents in a private practice setting.
